Curious if you folks give your newborn calves any vitamin shots or energy boosters on the day of birth? If so, what do you give?

We do not give them anything if they are born in the pasture. If they are born in the lot we iodine their navel and give them a black leg shot the next day as we lost a couple one year to tetnus which can be soil borne.

I have given multu-min and vaccinated for blackleg at birth. We discontinued due to no visible results, never had any blackleg in home raised cattle.
