I see your point but I thought we were focusing on Herefords here. Commercial crosses are a regional flavor that changes based on the buyers/feed lot preferences of the region. Some on this site beat the breed purity drum and as I understand it at one point the Canadian registry allowed breeding up, is this correct? I am sick of the trolling.

In my original post to the forum I clearly stated that our cattle were not aimed at the same market. If there wasn't a market for them they would have been gone long ago. If I take a calf to the sale barn I've failed as a breeder. What are your marketing plans for your cattle?

I believe you started the thread and I've answered your questions to be best of my ability yet when you are asked questions it's trolling? Open discussion is a good thing, it's how people learn and grow. You have the ability to share knowledge and yet you resort to name calling. This is the type of behavior that drives away buyers more than anything. We as breeders should be positive, helpful and easy to talk to so that we attract people to this fabulous breed.

I did not call you a troll, I said that you were trolling. The fact that the Canadian herdbook did or did not allow upgrading relevant to the discussion at hand.

Breeding stock, butcher calves? Show stock, breeding stock. My butcher stock is fed to end point and sold once it's cut and wrapped for maximum profit.
