New to the county I live, deadly to cows if not caught in time after infection. Guy not to far away from me had a cow not eating, wouldn't move too much. Called the vet, he ran some test, cow was sick due to tick bite, tested the rest of his cows, had 3 more infected, treated those and they lived, first cow died. Vet said someone in the next county lost 20 cows before they figured out what was wrong. Vet said he heard first cases in NJ and they're working their way south. Just another thing to look out for.
