There are rumblings that this years Junior National Hereford Expo to be held in Louisville, KY will feature an additional Youth development activity. Inspired by events at this years National Western Stock Show in Denver; the added activity will encourage youth to become even more passionate promoters of their animals. Although details remain somewhat sketchy at this time we do expect the event to take place following the selection of the Champion and that advance registration will not be required. Watch for more details regarding the JNHE Boxing/Mixed Martial Arts event.

Well...what happened?

Since I wasn't at Denver, I was hoping someone who was would log in and give a first hand report.

Everyone I visited with about the Hereford show at the National Western said one of the highlights [or maybe lowlights] of the yard show was an exhibitor starting a physical altercation with the judges. It seems like he was not happy with the placings.

Perhaps the next issue of the slick will have photos and a detailed story....

Like our high school football rival back in the '60's said: "we may not win on the field; but we'll beat you in the parking lot!"
