This morning I stopped by our local feed store to buy a few pressure treated posts. A group of guys who bought into the 7/8 Brangus 1/8 Holstein craze were complaining they lost money getting paid $2.00/lb for 625 pound steers.
Does Hereford really need to go down that road of more and more milk?

lol Last winter when prices were at the top the feed store parking lot was full of creep feeders. Everybody convinced each other that you weren't a real man without one. Lots of $3800 bred heifers for sale on the bulletin board.
Heck, with cheap feed and high prices you were a fool not to add some dairy to your herd.
Sometimes it sucks being right. Our prices should take a big hit when all of the unprofitable cattle are stampeded to the salebarn in the next few weeks.
