Where is a good place to stay? Do you need to rent a car? we always stay at the Courtyard Marriott right off Quebec, it's just down the street from the hereford headquarters (rennaisance) + they give me a really resaonable long term stay rate and let me drop the trailer at the hotel so i don't have to park it in hell and gone down at Coors Field. it's 10 minutes from the stock show. pretty much all the hotels right around Qebec and I70 cater to the shockshow crowd and the all have a shuttles running to and from the show that about every 1/2 hour. Plus there is a pile of cabs running thru those hotels because of the stock show crowd. most of the hotels also have a shuttel pickup/dropoff at the airport if your flying in. stay away from that shithole on the north side of i-70 on quebec that Tom G and Moon stayed at one year.....I'll let moon tell that story.

Going out the 14th and coming home the 17th. Both weather permitting. Got to see Bookcliff and Gus hit the town!! Hey Bookcliff - that s__hole was really cheap--- and came highly recommended by Gus as I recall. I actually stayed there two years in a row when we were showing. If you want to hear about a real hole in the wall, ask Mary and Tobyn about another rathole I put them in!! Got to live off the land once in a while!!
Who needs atmosphere when Sapp Brothers is just across the strip club parking lot from your home away from home.

I still think Glen needs to go every year and take pics of all the exhibits in the yards and post them. Maybe see if you can get set up to live stream the pen carload shows etc. Then maybe stream some of the after hour conversations too!

If memory serves me correctly there is a Rodeway at peoria and I70. Think it was reasonable and they served complimentary meals three times a day. Never went to the meals so can't speak to that

I have heard about the quail being turned loose in the lobby. Is that it? Do not remember the names involved.

But Harold "Feathers" was going to this room and and a fellow tried to rob him. I guess that Feathers pulled his pistol and got a shot off at the guy running away.

We (Carswell-Nichols Herefords) will be out in the yards as well again this year. Not sure on pen assignment yet. We will be bringing a carload of spring 2014 bulls, mostly late Feb and early March born. Sounds like yard numbers are way up, not sure how they are going to get all of those pens through in one day. But this is a good problem to have I guess. I dont' post much, but always enjoy watching the discussio. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet a few of you folks out in Denver.
