If you have never attended this should be on your bucket list. The men and women that worked to start this sale need to be commended for their efforts and hard work. Those that followed and made this into an event that is outstanding in the cattle industry should be commended. This event draws not only the Hereford people but commercial cowmen from all parts of the west. I am extending a huge Thank You to John Ascuaga for his efforts in building this event. This event would not be there today without John Ascuaga, Tom McCord and Willard Wolf. There are so many great men, women and breeders that had a hand in getting it off the ground. hereford.org/static/files/0715_Reno50.pdf

Seeing the curtain rise on a line of Hereford cattle on stage is an impressive sight. It is one of those things that everyone associated with the breed ought to experience - at least once. And, to me, the atmosphere at the Hereford show in Reno differs from either Denver or Fort Worth - in a positive way. It makes for a good vacation - especially if you like to frequent the casinos too.
