on a totally different Angus subject, word in the barns at the Kansas Junior Livestock Show @ Wichita (Kansas's biggest 4-H show) this weekend is that if Gardiners and Express along with a few others can't get enough people elected to the board at their Annual meeting this fall that are their lackie's and then hence fire Bryce (as well as rehire all the folks Bryce fired) then they are giong to start a new assn.
the thing that leads me to believe some of this as somewhat serious talk it came from folks in the Angus business that are in the know and I trust.

Lots going on in the Angus world. Bill and Sally have started Method Genetics. I look for this to be a big competitor to breed associations to those who worship EPDs. A few big Angus guys jump ship first. They start providing EPDs to composites, and then a few Hereford, Charolais, Simmental breeders get on board and the dynamics have changed in a hurry.
Angus just "recalibrated" their EPDs and scuttlebutt is that several big breeders were getting preferential treatment by the department handling the genetic info and thus a recalibration was needed to adjust for some problems this caused.
