At Waurika, man cattle are high....... The bargain is still the older bred cows which are basically bringing slaughter price....
Saw a draft of Hereford steers (24 head) at 511 sell for 1.40 which was closer to the others than at Decatur. Blacks were selling for 1.60 in the 500# range.
I noticed that Limo's get discounted as much or more than Herefords. They were onsie-twosies but there were Limo steers selling for 1.10 to 1.20 in the 500# range.
Saw some 390# steers sell for $1.975 (blacks of course)
Won't be long and 500# steers will be selling for $2.00 per pound. Who would have imagined that?
