Saw a post on Ranchers about buying bred cows for $1075 to $1500 and what a BARGAIN it was. They should send their buyers to Texas. You can sit in auction barns and buy GOOD cows bred for March calves all day long and fill as many trucks as you can get your hands on for $825 to $875 a head.

Most Texas cows would have a hard time adjusting to a northern winter. I have heard all summer about how it would be worth a try, but I only know of a couple guys who did it. They also made sure the cattle were straight Red Angus so they would eventually grow hair.
Personally, I still have my doubts, enough to make me say no.
