I think people are getting a little stupid now with the bull prices. No way that you can pencil out (as a commercial guy) paying 6-7-8-9 thousand for a bull. Too many good bulls available for lots less and then there is always AI. For commercial breeders set up for it AI is very cheap.

Anyone like to guess what the operating costs are for cattle to be managed/fed like these along with sale expenses?

I can't imagine what they have into their cattle with management, advertising, sales exp, ect...
One credit you can give them is they don't hide how much they feed those cattle.
What is silly is when people buy SAV bulls and think they are going to get 900# weaning weights in their pastures without the creep feeders.
