Just bought a pair of Keen, only been two weeks but they are the first pair I have had that didn't require a break-in period. I am on concrete and steel all day five days a week and have to get new boots about every six months because the sole breaks down and starts to hurt my feet, knees and all sorts of things - inserts don't work with me. When I am at home on dirt anything goes, I used to milk in sandals.

Look up hoffman boots in Idaho or whites boots. They are exspensive but I've had the local amish man resole and patch them multiple times. I build steel high tensile towers and I get about 7-8 years out of a pair working 12-16 hr days. That galvanizing on the steel is Hard on anything Hoffman are quadruple stiched and whites will send a form to put your foot in and they will hand build it to your feet and legs. Get ready to spend $300-600 but at 60 a year that's cheap.
