MSU Revolution 4R... I sure don't like the yearling pic that's been discussed here. However, daughters are very nice. Some,of the best udders I have seen in a while... What type cow works best with him?
PW Victor Boomer P606... I understand he throws a lot of white and horns. What else should you be weary of? What type cows work best?
TH 223 71I Victor 755T... Not seen producing daughters but this past weekend saw some very good soggy weanlings out of him. What cows work best with him?

[/quote] Use him on Grey Brahman. He produces the brindles and traditional Hereford markings. His F1 daughters brought the top price at the F1 sale Las year. High bw issues are not a problem on Grey Brahman. Since we are talking about markings...his progeny testing would indicate pure Hereford.

LOL!!! Coincidental but I did watch a little bit of a Braford sale in Louisiana yesterday and they thought highly of those tiger striped bulls! P.S. I'm too old to deal with them myself. Cattle need to be as slow as I am.

Personally I think you can use Revolution on about any type of cow and get some good results. His daughters make great cows and have really nice udders like you said. The daughters we have had out of him have been moderate framed mostly framing somewhere over a 5 but not quite a 6 frame. Bulls you may get a little more mixed results with but we've had a few nice sons by him that we sold and even kept semen interest on 1 of them and his calves so far are turning out to be some of the best calves in our past 2 calf crops. We've seen more variance in frame size on the bulls than the heifers by him and I've heard guys say they think he sires smaller framed bulls but we've had 3 bulls sired by him that made our sale pen that framed at 5.3, 6.5, and 7.0 at yearling so we haven't really seen the smaller bulls some guys say they have by him but we also don't have a large sample size to go by either and have had more heifers than bulls by him.
Don't have any experience with the other 2 bulls you mentioned.

Let me broaden the topic, how do we choose what cow is bred to which bull? which cow to breed with what bull?
