Just a note about the new editor of the Hereford World, Julie White. She is a Warrensburg girl with deep connections to agriculture, especially livestock. She grew up with my kids; I grew up with her parents. Her uncle Roy is about as close to a brother as I have. That being said, as much respect as I have for her and Joe Rickabaugh, I am certain the Hereford World will have to continue to cater to the hobby crowd. They apparently pay the bills. Those of us on Hereford Talk aren't very exciting and we darn sure don't spend much money advertising, so we can't expect anything but more fluff about the hobby crowd. I guess I will have to try to temper my sarcasm just the same.

I understand Tim. When I am going off on something I hope people realize it is the concept that bothers me not the people. Like the association, I don't like a lot of what goes on there but several of the workers have gone out of their way to help me and I appreciate and like them personally.

I'm just an employee and have policies I have to follow if I want to stay employed. Most of us have a job and a boss we answer too. We may not always agree with a policy but as long as we draw a pay check from that employer we need to do what they say. I try to never take my frustrations with a company out on an employee unless their job includes customer relations.
