any of you Sandhill's guys ever seen either the W105 donor cow that Douthits bought from Kevin in person? if so your thoughts, as well as if you've seen her dam or grandam. Also for any of you guys that have used Trust, is he ligitemate on his 3.6 BW or does he breed to how his pedigree reads (in my very limited expereince with the individuals in his pedigree bigger than a 3.6 anyway) Her flush is lot 1 in the catolog www.greatplainshereford.com/

I presume your talking NJW Trust ? If you are I had 16 calves by him, just finished calving. Ave BW 85lbs ranging from 66--96.8lbs don't know how that collates with your figures over there.

We have a 3 yr old that just weaned her second calf and it was the top ratio calf. Considering the fact that I nearly lost him to scours at 3 weeks then treated him for pinkeye in July I was rather impressed.

I've liked the Trust cattle I've seen. They have been better than the Durango cattle I've seen. The Trust son I saw this summer has sired some nice bulls and his heifers look nice. I would of tried to buy one of them if the sire hadn't been out of a daughter of 242.

But, what if... you proved to yourself what you liked about them was a result of the 242 bull (as in legend?) Influence. Would you still pass?

Ace, I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I wouldn't exclude Legend 242 because of his pedigree. I would exclude him because in person he was a little glob of grease.
