Has anyone seen him in person or used him that could give more info?

I saw him when he sold-believe he was about 9 months old at the time. Looked very good at that stage I thought. I remember he looked like a bull at a young age.
His dam looked to be a solid cow at that time. Don't know what to think of 301N cow, she was for sale i believe in 2010, but had bad feet. Probably because she was in a donor program since a young cow, but makes me a little cautious.
Calves are definitly small at birth and take off growing. Put one heifer in replacement pen, so we'll see how she turns out. Looks like 028X will add scrotum. The one bull in my yearling pen had the biggest scrotum and other bulls I saw at Dale's had good nuts. Look to have more bone and a little more middle than 3027 calves. Would still like a little more middle in 028X calves.
028X is at Genex being collected now. Ordered semen to use on heifers that have a little more BW. Semen may be short with the calls they have got already for spring use. Taking cows to PAYS tomorrow, thought about stopping to look at him.

Thanks Justin, do you have pics of any offspring. Of the 5 pics posted as support pics (Genex's website if memory serves) 2 are very good, 1 good and two bad, so a little hard to tell much from them. I'm also a little nervous of the Rambo in the pedigree, don't like the cows out of Rambo that I've seen. Too many of them are cowhocked.

Thanks for the pics, it just dawned on me that I remember him as a calf now. Probably took that long because of the name change. Dale e-mailed me a pic of his dam, also a good looking cow.

This is a picture I had on my phone of the sensation daughter I kept. She would have been right at a year old this picture. She is out of a HH Advance 8203 X Neon cow with a BW EPD of high 6 when she calved last year. This calf was the smallest BW born here last year at 67 lbs.

The same calf from above a couple days old with her 2 year old dam. Maybe I shouldn't have figured out this posting picture thing.

I have heard opinions on him. Without completely bashing the bull, what are some pro's and con's to him? As popular as Sensation is becoming I thought I would bump this back to the top. Found one heck of a cow pic in it too!

I bought a bred cow that just calved from Sensation, calf is only but a few days old, but he is much lighter boned than I prefer and that was out of a very good English cow with ample bone

Dumbo, Ohhhh Ahhhh I mean Rambo................... he's the whole reason we stayed away from Sensation till he started to get proven. that being said we did the latest flush on an 10 year old 8020 daughter outa a High Volt 80S daughter we have at Cross Country to Sensation last week (first flush was to 3027 whom we have bred her to the last 3 years before we started flushing her and her second flush was to 5216)

I've seen a few Sensation heifers that looked nice. A few with their first calves. I've only seen a few but nothing I haven't liked. A year ago before I was looking for a polled bull a couple of polled sons of his sold and they looked good in pics but have never seent them in person. The heifers I saw in person. Everyone I've talked to who have used him say he is the real deal when it comes to a heifer bull.

We've used him since semen was first made available in 2011. Extreme calving ease; never had an issue. Shorter gestation, maybe up to 4-6 days on average. Calves get up and grow. Cattle tend to be very moderate in frame, but will be thick. He will bring down frame score without fail. Maybe a little sloppy/loose up front, but not bad. Structurally we have not had any issues with calves out of him to date. Have just a few daughters in production and they all seem to be doing well with their first calves. I would say that he has consistently improved carcass traits for us, specifically ribeye area. Today, we are utilizing a son within our herd as a heifer cleanup and also own another bull out of Sensations dam, 7202T. and have not had any issues there either.

How much width does he sire? The ones I've seen have been very well muscled. What I would call thick. And are well balanced and all I've seen have been very structurally correct. I have seen very little if anything not to like. As stated above they are moderate framed but otherwise very good cattle that should perform well under many different conditions.

This is a first calf heifer with her April born Sensation bull calf. Should wean two thirds her body weight , on native pasture, no creep, no improved grass This is the heifer I mentioned in an earlier post that never seems to have much of a bag. Attachments:

Can't complain about what that heifer has done. Every Sensation I've seen has impressed me.
